EMO Hannover 2023 returns this September 18th-23rd after a 4 year absence. The trade fair will showcase more than 1170 products, with 1750 exhibitors from 42 countries. AMFG will be in attendance, with a dedicated stand in Hall 9.
Excitement at Return
VDW (German Machine Tool Builders’ Association) organise the event and there is great anticipation surrounding the return, with VDW’s Executive Director, Dr William Schäfer demonstrating his excitement for the show during the Preview Tour, which included 40 countries worldwide: “After a four-year break, EMO is returning to Hannover – with a new concept, with a new look and with renewed energy […] The mood is buzzing. […] Our exhibitors and we, the organisers, are very much looking forward to reconnecting with our customers and business partners.”
The expectations surrounding the return have been fuelled by the reveal of three key themes that will be the focus of the fair: The Future of Business, Future of Sustainability in Production and the Future of Connectivity.
The Future of Business banner seeks to allow communication between industry experts in matters including innovative contract and sales models, widening sales markets and the rise of new work concepts. Similarly, the Future of Connectivity has a focus on exploring the wealth of new applications, with an emphasis on smart production and pioneering automation processes. The Future of Sustainability in Production aims to help with the implementation of energy efficient production, electromobility and alternative drives.
New Focus Areas
With such a wide range of exhibitors in attendance and products on display, EMO Hannover 2023 has implemented specific ‘spaces’ alongside traditional stands. An example of this is the Additive Manufacturing space that will be a feature of the event. The diversification of VDM’s interests away from solely traditional manufacturing methods mirrors the trends in the market, as Deloitte’s 2023 Manufacturing Industry Outlook recorded automation and additive manufacturing as key areas for growth. Alongside a dedicated area for Additive Manufacturing, there will be areas for collaborative robotics, and spaces aiming to further the overarching themes of connectivity and sustainability.
Ultimately, EMO Hannover 2023 is seeking to provide an opportunity and platform for the showcasing of innovation and diversification throughout the manufacturing industry, as well as facilitating discussions around digitalisation, sustainability and emerging business trends. The breadth of contributors and knowledge is sure to make the 2023 instalment of the world’s leading trade fair for production technology a success.
