Based in Genk, Belgium, Tenco DDM offer a range of additive manufacturing, printing and CNC machining services to clients across Belgium, France and Germany. Tenco partnered with RP Platform to provide an easier process for customers to obtain quotes and place orders for additive manufacturing services. The long-term goal was to allow Tenco’s team of experts to deliver 3D printed parts faster, with no compromise in quality, by automating any time-consuming administrative tasks in the quotation/order process.
RP Platform was customised to suit Tenco’s requirements, allowing customers to request instant quotations through a tailored online portal. This followed a period of consultation where the RP Platform team engaged directly with Tenco’s experts to ensure their goals and requirements had been understood. With this understanding as a solid foundation, the platform could fit seamlessly into Tenco’s existing technology and processes, allowing for a smooth implementation. This way, following launch day, one of Tenco’s key high-volume AM clients was able to begin placing orders through the platform straight away, with excellent results.
Plans are already in place for a larger-scale roll-out of RP Platform, so all Tenco’s existing and future clients can make use of its capabilities. Furthermore, the platform’s use will be expanded to cover the entire range of post-processing services that Tenco offer their clients, including various finishing options and wet chroming.
