AMFG Expands, Opens New Office Location In Germany

Workflow software provider to open a new office in Munich as part of its plans for expansion

London, UK, 25 February 2019 — AMFG, the leading provider of workflow software for additive manufacturing, has today announced its plans for global expansion with the opening of a new international office in Munich, Germany.

Leading AMFG’s expansion into the German market is the company’s Head of R&D and Partnerships, Felix Doerr.

“The decision to expand our presence into Germany was a logical step in our business growth strategy.”

“Germany has long been a hub for industrial additive manufacturing. As we continue to increase our presence within the enterprise sector, having an additional sales team in Munich will bring us closer to many of the industry’s leading manufacturers and to our existing customer base, both in Germany and on the continent.”

AMFG, which has its headquarters in London and a sales office in Lisbon, Portugal, offers the industry’s only end-to-end AM workflow software solution, spanning project management, production planning and scheduling, post-processing management and communications tools for suppliers and OEMs.

As part of its plans for expansion, AMFG also plans to accelerate its product development to further enhance its workflow software capabilities. Just last month, the company announced it had received Innovate UK funding to develop its machine learning technology for its AM software platform..

“In 2019, we’re heavily focused on ensuring that our software solutions remain best-in-class and enable manufacturers to scale their AM facilitie.”

“For example, we’re working with several machine manufacturers to achieve full machine integration and connectivity. We’re also developing more capabilities for our production management solutions, with the aim of adding more automation to the process. We have quite a few exciting announcements in the pipeline that will bring us closer to achieving our vision of autonomous manufacturing.”

“The real benefit of the AMFG platform is that it offers the widest scope for end-to-end additive manufacturing. A lot of companies, in Germany and beyond, have shown a lot of interest in our software, and how workflow software can help them fully realise the potential of additive manufacturing.”
